Reinsurance Broker
U.S. RE Corporation, a dynamic, fast growing international Company, is an industry leader in all aspects of risk transfer in the insurance industry. The Company is seeking an experienced Reinsurance Broker. U.S. RE has its operational management and related activity located in Blue Hill Plaza in Pearl River, New York in Rockland County.
Responsibilities:
- Work with brokers and our group member companies in servicing and maintaining existing business.
- Responsible for managing and contributing towards new and existing business production efforts.
- Be involved in the creation of new reinsurance products.
- Interact with our group member companies in developing cross selling opportunities.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in business related field.
- 5 - 10 years of prior experience as a reinsurance broker in property/casualty reinsurance placements.
- Concentrated reinsurance knowledge in all types of treaty placements.
- Experience in servicing large nationwide and regional insurance company clients.
- Strong analytical, organizational, research, and problem-solving skills.
- In depth knowledge of PowerPoint and Excel a plus.
- Must be able to work independently, as well as be a team player.
- Willingness to travel for both client and production related activities.
- Good interpersonal/communication skills.
- Ability to set priorities and juggle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Compensation:
Negotiable, depending on broking experience, plus excellent benefits.
