U.S. RE - Reinsurance Rediscovered

At U.S RE, we're redefining reinsurance with breakthrough solutions in analytics, global markets, personal service, and innovative products. We'll be telling our story in an advertising and communications program that kicks off with the enclosed ad (click here to view) in the October issue of Best's Review. Meanwhile, here are some areas where U. S. Re is moving forward aggressively:

  • Vlad Uhmylenko, Director-Enterprise Risk Management at Standard & Poor's has joined U.S. RE Analytics (USRA) as Managing Director and Principal in partnership with Managing Director Anya Kutsina. USRA provides clients cost-effective, state-of-the-art technology to analyze risk portfolios, design Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) programs, comply with Solvency II, and create frameworks for insurance/reinsurance pricing and risk transfer. Our Dynamic Financial Analysis (DFA) model, Risk Explorer™ and our unparalleled expertise in catastrophe modeling provide companies of any size the analytical power to help make informed business decisions.
  • We recently formed a strategic venture with Shanghai Transceed Insurance Brokers, Ltd. to provide brokerage and consulting services in insurance and reinsurance. Transceed is one of China's top brokers. Its shares are held by investors including China's leading oil and energy enterprises who also have equity holdings in major sectors of the Chinese insurance industry. Transceed is active in energy, construction, manufacturing, and metallurgy. Among its clients are some of China's largest electric, steel, and petroleum corporations, and it is now becoming a major player in the treaty sector.
  • The Danish Insurance Supervisory Authority retained U. S. RE recently to study terrorism risk reinsurance capacity. Based on our previous experience as consultant to the U. S. Treasury Department in creation of the Terrorism Risk Insurance program, we also will provide advisory services to the Danish Authority.
  • U.S. RE has been appointed co-broker with Willis Re and Guy Carpenter by the Turkish Catastrophe Insurance Pool (TCIP) to place reinsurance for TCIP's earthquake risk. We bring to this assignment our extensive experience in placing catastrophe protection in disaster-prone areas.
  • We have already begun to enhance our cadre of new, dynamic broking talent in the United States. New brokers joining U.S. RE are attracted to our growth and commitment to advancing the use of technology that is second to none backed by our substantial financial resources.

We'd like to discuss ways we can help meet your needs so let us hear from you (info@usre.com). Please stay tuned!
