Eric Hempelman, JD, CPCU, has been named Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Uni-Ter Underwriting Management Corporation, the Atlanta-based member of the U.S. RE Group that provides underwriting management and other insurance services to health care providers.

Following graduation from the University of Nebraska, Mr. Hempelman took his law degree at Drake University. Over the years, he has served in senior management positions at Medical Mutual Liability Insurance Society of Maryland, NCRIC, American Physician's Capital, and others. In his various assignments, Mr. Hempelman has managed underwriting, marketing, claims, risk management, and legal departments.
