Uni-Ter Introduces New Products
Atlanta, GA - Uni-Ter Underwriting Management Corporation, a leading provider of liability insurance to the health care industry, is diversifying to offer a wide range of services to long-term care facilities, John P. Noble, Jr., Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, announced.
"Our growth strategy is to serve all the insurance needs of clients in the health care business by offering a range of products that fit the special requirements of each client," he explained. Uni-Ter currently writes liability insurance for health care facilities in 22 states and is expanding its network of agents in those states. "In addition to basic risk transfer, we've created captive insurance facilities for two nursing home groups in other states, and we'll be introducing additional new products in the near future," Mr. Noble said.
"We also will provide stand-alone claims handling services to other insurers through our affiliate, Uni-Ter Claims Services Corporation, acting as a Third Party Administrator. James E. Martin, a malpractice claims specialist with 30 years of experience, is President of Uni-Ter Claims Services.
The Uni-Ter companies are wholly owned subsidiaries of U.S. RE Companies, Inc., parent of U.S. RE Corporation, the international reinsurance brokerage firm; managing general agencies; captive managers; and merchant banking interests. The Uni-Ter companies report to U.S. RE Agencies, Inc., a unit of the U.S. RE Group, headed by Sanford D. Elsass, President.
Mr. Noble recently joined Uni-Ter after serving as Director of Corporate Affairs for the Florida Agency for Health Care Administration. "We're offering new products. We have a new management team. Through our affiliated companies, U.S. RE Corp. in New York and Uni-Ter International Insurance Company in Bermuda, we can arrange reinsurance coverage and provide complete captive management services. We welcome inquiries from brokers, health care institutions, and insurers," Mr. Noble said.
