Uni-Ter Announces Executive Appointments
Atlanta, GA - Steven D. Rupp, an executive with extensive experience in property/casualty insurance for the health care industry, medical malpractice, and related coverages, has been named Senior Underwriting Manager at Uni-Ter Underwriting Management Corporation, Sanford D. Elsass, President of Uni-Ter's parent U.S. RE Agencies, Inc., announced.
Uni-Ter is a nationally recognized specialist in property/casualty insurance for long-term care facilities. The Company currently writes liability insurance for health care facilities in 22 states and is expanding its network of agents in those states. Uni-Ter also is involved in captive formation and management for health care facilities.
Mr. Rupp joins Uni-Ter after serving as Atlanta Regional Underwriting Manager of PHICO for four years and in various underwriting/brokerage positions for AIG, Alexander Howden North America, and others over the last 16 years. At Phico, he developed and managed a $22 million book of medical malpractice and related business in eight southeastern states.
Mr. Elsass also announced the appointment of Sharon L. Lanier as Senior Underwriter. Ms. Lanier is a veteran of 31 years with The St. Paul Insurance Company. For the last 15 years, she was Senior Account Underwriter for hospitals, long-term care facilities, and physicians' groups in Georgia and Florida.
"We welcome Steve and Sharon to the Uni-Ter management team. They bring a host of skills and years of experience that will be important to the company as we grow and develop new products," Mr. Elsass said.
