For Immediate Release September 7, 2004 New York, NY - Sandra G. Blundetto has been named Senior Vice President and General Counsel of U.S. RE Companies, Inc., Tal P. Piccione, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, announced.
"Ms. Blundetto brings experience in all aspects of insurance and reinsurance law, regulatory matters, and corporate transactions," said Mr. Piccione. "She will make a tremendous contribution to our senior management team as U.S. RE grows and diversifies."
Prior to joining U.S. RE, Ms. Blundetto was a partner in the New York office of the international law firm, Baker & McKenzie, and a Vice President of W. R. Berkley Corporation, Greenwich, CT. Her legal career includes corporate insurance and reinsurance transactions, mergers and acquisitions, corporate restructurings, and alternative risk transfer programs for domestic and non-U.S. insurers. She holds a BBA (magna cum laude) from the College of Insurance and a JD (magna cum laude and Order of the Coif) from New York Law School where she was an editor of the Law Review.
